Cyberhome DVR 1600

The Cyberhome DVR 1600 is a DVD recorder that was also sold under TruTech 1620 and ILO DVDR05, they all are exactly the same except their looks.

Some people have problem with this recorder, but most of them can be fixed by using the right brand of DVDs and/or updating the firmware.

The 1600 works grate with DVD+RW but DVD+R work vary well with the Machines too. It will record to DVD-R/RW too, but is more prone to errors then DVD+R/RW.

Firmware

I only have Firmware for the MU and MU1, I only have loader for the ZU model, you can see what model you have by looking at the bottom of the DVD recorder.

Updating the firmware comes in two parts a loader and a backend, install the loader first then the backend, some people have used the Cyberhome firmware to update their TruTech 1620 or ILO dvdr05. It might say it not compatible for you to update it but if you go ahead with updating the recorder it will likely work and it will now say Cyberhome when you turn on the recorder.

I also suggest if you are updating from a TruTech 1620 or ILO dvdr05 to defiantly use the loader and the backend
